Genesis of Archi-Diversity challenges the stagnant nature of modern urbanism, rooted in the provocation that stability kills diversity. When architecture is tethered to a fixed coordinate, it becomes a rigid component of a static urban fabric, stifling the organic evolution of space. Inspired by the divine mandate in Genesis—to let the earth bring forth living things that move and breathe—this project proposes the liberation of architecture from the ground.
By deconstructing architecture into autonomous, granular fragments and bestowing them with mobility, we shift the paradigm from "infrastructure" to "organism." These architectural objects are free to roam, congregate, and disperse like cattle across the landscape. No longer bound by property lines, the built environment enters a state of perpetual evolution. Through this mobility, archi-diversity emerges; as structures adapt to shifting climates, social needs, and topographical changes, they "evolve" over time, creating a restless, living ecology of space that mirrors the complexity of the natural world.
