The Lunar New Year pavillion project at Pacific Place, a prominent shopping mall, in Hong Kong demonstrates an innovative approach that skillfully blends traditional Chinese design elements with a contemporary aesthetic. The simplified architectural elements, the reinterpretation of patterns and the streamlining of the Dougong structural system, capture the essence of traditional design without being beholden to its literal forms. By reimagining and simplifying traditional architectural motifs, we have created a visually captivating and immersive experience.
