The pavilion installation located in the Elements, Hong Kong draws inspiration from Hong Kong's vibrant, dynamic energy to create a celebratory, uplifting experience for the public after the challenging times of the pandemic. Conceptualized as a vibrant, immersive pavilion, the design utilizes layers of colorful acrylic panels to reflect and refract sunlight, casting a spectrum of shimmering colors across the ground plane. The material palette and lighting elements work in harmony to capture the essence of Hong Kong's distinct atmosphere. Colorful acrylic panels represent the city's energy and diversity, while also symbolizing a sense of hope and optimism as the community emerges from the pandemic. Flickering lights and fleeting shadows dance across the surfaces, creating a mesmerizing, ever-changing visual experience. The layers of colorful acrylic panels in cloud shades create a visually striking appearance, evoking a sense of playfulness and joy. The use of different heights and the white frame structure not only provide structural support but also add an element of visual interest and depth to the pavilion. This aesthetic approach creates an inviting and exciting environment for the general public to enjoy during the summer season. The design of the white frame structure installation with colored acrylic panels is closely tied to the production process. The design determines the size, shape, and arrangement of the acrylic panels, as well as the structural requirements for the frame and foundation. As visitors move through the space, they are enveloped in a world of dazzling shapes and hues. The glow of summer sunlight filters through the canopy, casting rainbow-like bubbles that float up and down.
