idea flow through conscious mind, like an afloat object, in between water and air. subconscious space is subtly generated on the blurred boundary
意念於虛實中游走，宛如一物飄浮在水與空氣之間 , 穿梭於模糊不定的界線，
帶動著媒介間連綿不斷的細微變化， 曖昧而別緻的空間渾然而生。
Afloat studio is an architectural and interior design practice based in Hong Kong. The firm aims at exploring the ambiguous spatial quality of the “in-between’ space through the blurred boundary and applying the tangling spatial experience to architecture. The co-founder of the firm KONG Pui Sze & LAM Ho Wang Owen completed their Master of Architecture in the University of Hong Kong and the Chinese University of Hong Kong respectively and become a Registered Architect.
The team has been actively involved in various design including architecture and won the First Prize of The 57th Central Glass International Architectural Design Competition (第57回 セントラル硝子国際建築競技 最優秀賞), Second Prize of the 18th Shelter International Architectural Competition for Students (第18回 シェルターインターナショナル学生設計競技 優秀賞) in Japan and the First Prize in Open Group of 2014 Design Ideas Competition for Kai Tak River.

OWEN LAM obtained his master degree in The Chinese University of Hong Kong and registered as Architect and HKIA member. He practiced in local architectural firms for various projects from new building of Cultural Centre, Health Centre, Hospital, to A&A projects in education institutes and youth centers. He is also one of the co-founders of a local interiror design agent, Six-corners Stduio, and experienced in retail and office design.
